Learning Spanish: Working at a Spanish Company

Hello everyone! Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve written on this blog. I’ve been dying to tell you all about a new way to learn Spanish: doing an internship in a Spanish company.

Entrevista practicas en españolWith summer vacations over and the arrival of fall, it seems we’ve all been trying to reach our goals before the end of the year. One of the most popular personal goals amongst these is the desire to learn a language. Being able to speak multiple languages is without a doubt one of the best ways to make your professional profile stand out. In the current job market, it’s been harder to stand out, and having a skill like multilingualism is sure to help.

At AIL Málaga, we know how important it is to have a high level of Spanish. We have quite a few students enrolled in our Intensive Spanish Course who are here to eventually study at a Spanish university. Some want to graduate from the best universities in Europe, others dream of working in Latin America, and others just want to enjoy Málaga. The beautiful weather and our diverse school would make anyone fall in love with the Andalusian culture.

If you are interested in doing an internship in Spain, your first step is creating your CV in Spanish. If you’re wondering how, make sure you check out our free online activities. We offer a workshop dedicated to teaching you the tricks behind a great CV and acing your Spanish interview.

Once you have updated your profile, we will ask you to do a bit of research and let us know what sectors you are most interested in for work. The most popular are marketing, hospitality, and finance.

After you select your sector, a member of our team at the school will work on making a match for you! In the work force, there is a special feeling when you find the offer that best fits you and your objectives.

Once we have the company that interests you, we will set up a meeting with the person who is in charge of your internship and yourself. They will explain all of the daily tasks you take on in the company as well as any external projects you may be a part of designing.

If I had more time, I would love to tell you all about the amazing stories students from this program have shared with me. You cannot imagine how excited they get when they have real hands-on experience inside a Spanish company and the fun adventures that happen each day. It is the perfect way to launch your professional career while practicing the language as well.
