About the Preparation Course for International Exams in Madrid
Every year, thousands of students from many countries choose to take certain exams if they want to secure a ticket to university. SAT in the United States, EBAU in Spain, Matura in Austria, or the famous British A-Levels or GCSE exams are just some of the names of these exams in different countries. At our institution, we offer this Preparation Course to help students excel in their preparation in Spanish for these important exams.
Whether Spanish is your first or second foreign language, and regardless of whether you are in the L, ES, or S series, our preparation course provides you with all the tools to successfully pass the exams.
Before embarking on your Preparation course for International Exams in Spanish with AIL Madrid, we will assign you to a class based on the results of a preliminary test that you will take with us.
To give you an idea, if you are not yet familiar with the CEFR levels (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), in an A2-level class, the contrast of past tenses is a recurring content that will make you an expert in narrating biographies or historical events. In a B1-level class, you will immerse yourself in the different uses of the present subjunctive and be able to express opinions and evaluations about Picasso’s paintings or the works of Gaudí, for example. At the B2 level, you will practice extensively with sentences introduced by “although” and be able to perfectly comment on one of Rosa Montero’s articles. Lastly, if you are a highly proficient Spanish student specializing in the language, in the C1-level class, you will study countless language nuances that you can apply in responses to an excerpt from one of Arturo Pérez-Reverte’s works and impress the examiner.
To boost your confidence when facing the oral expression test, our Preparation Course for International Exams in Spanish package includes a variable number of individual classes where you can delve deeper into and work on the topics covered in the official curriculum.
Regardless of your academic track, it is crucial that you can express yourself naturally in oral communication and confidently discuss subjects such as freedom of the press in Cuba or the portrayal of Pablo Escobar as a 20th-century anti-hero. With the individual classes included in your study package, you can personalize your learning experience and ensure a good grade in this part of the exam.
As a perfect complement to this specialized course, you will have the opportunity to participate in our cultural activities in the afternoons. These activities will expand your knowledge of Spanish art, history, and culture through visits to Madrid’s major museums or guided walks in the city’s most emblematic neighborhoods. If you choose to stay with one of our host families, your immersive learning experience will be even more comprehensive as you can fully immerse yourself in the language, Spanish culture, and daily life.
Now that you have all the information, you just need to decide on the duration of your course and the number of individual classes you would like to take.
