About the University Pathway Program in Madrid

What is the University Pathway Program

Our highly selective University Pathway Program will ease you through the process of enrolling in a Spanish University. If you are accepted on the program, we will give you all the administrative support you need as well as preparation for the exams. This includes an intensive Spanish course, entrance exam preparation, a student visa, and ongoing advice and assessment.

How it works

AIL Madrid is a top Spanish Language School offering a wide variety of classes to students of all levels. We are partnered with one of the most exclusive preparatory academies in Madrid and, together, we will ensure you get the highest possible score on the Spanish university entrance exams. If you successfully complete our pre-entry requirements, we offer you a choice of five study options designed to fit your specific needs and maximize your performance in the University entry exams:

– Complete Program Plus (14 months): Begin with a 6-month intensive Spanish program with AIL Madrid. After reaching the required B1 level, proceed to an 8-month course at our partner school focusing on the specific exams needed for Spanish university entrance. Concurrently, continue Spanish classes either on weekends or in the afternoon during the 8-month university preparation course.

– Complete Program (14 months): This comprehensive option covers the entire process. Start with a 6-month intensive Spanish program at AIL Madrid, and upon reaching the requisite B1 level, transition to an 8-month course at our partner school for the specific exams required for Spanish university admission.

– The Fast Track Program (11 months): Designed for ambitious students aiming for a quicker completion. Similar to the Complete Program, this option begins with 6 months of Spanish at AIL Madrid, followed by condensed study with our partner school for 5 months to prepare for the entrance exams.

– The Parallel Program (8 months): Intended for students already at a B1 level in Spanish. Dive directly into entrance exam preparation classes at our partner school while continuing to enhance your Spanish skills with weekend or evening classes at AIL Madrid.

– Just Access + advisory (5-8 months): Tailored for students with at least a B2 level in Spanish, focusing solely on university entrance exam preparation. This program includes 5 to 8 months of relevant exam preparation, along with comprehensive advice and guidance.

You can also enhance your progress by signing up for individual lessons at AIL Madrid. These personalized lessons can help you address weak areas or delve into specific areas of interest.

We understand that pursuing higher education in a new country is a significant step, and we strive to ensure you have the best experience possible. As your multilingual information source, we make the entire procedure as seamless as possible. We provide guidance on the specific exams you need to take based on your chosen subject, and when registering for exams, you can submit a simple form indicating your preferred universities. This allows us to pair you with the best matches based on your scores. Before you know it, you’ll be a Spanish university student!

Where to stay in Madrid

Choose from a variety of accommodation options, including carefully vetted host families (recommended for rapid language improvement), student housing, and shared flats. We take care of all the arrangements to ensure you and your family have a secure and conducive learning environment.

Next Steps

We have simplified the entire process into four easy steps to eliminate confusion when dealing with different administrative offices. To embark on this journey, simply get in touch with us, and we will guide you through the following:

1. Complete the interview process: To gain acceptance into our program, you should have a valid high school diploma, which we will help you translate into the Spanish system once you’re here. Additionally, a passion for the Spanish language is essential.

2. Apply for your student visa (non-EU/Schengen nationals only): This process involves paperwork and details, but we have extensive experience in handling it. We will guide you step by step and ensure you feel supported throughout the process. Initially, your visa with us is valid for a year and can easily be extended to cover your university course once you are in Madrid.

3. Select your exams: Based on your subject of choice and educational background, we will place you in a preparatory course in Madrid that guarantees your chances of success. The specific exams you need to take will vary. For example, if you want to enter medical school, you will need to take exams in biology, chemistry, etc. We will provide a personal assessment and inform you of the required courses for entrance to your preferred university program. If you have any questions about program selection, we are here to guide you.

4. Move to Madrid: AIL Madrid offers airport pickup (if you or your child is traveling alone) and various approved housing options to choose from. Madrid is well-connected by air and rail, allowing you and your family to visit each other frequently and affordably. Welcome to the next chapter of your life!
